Are Small Keyboards Popular?

Well, I think the starting point of tenkeyless were IBM's space saver. Some guys in the community impressed that. And then they tried to make similar keyboard cutting tenkey pad off. Also some guys tries make PCB and house also. Yes here we build DK saver (actually it is tenkeyless). And the other guy made 356N and 356L (they also tenkeyless). The last edition 356CL will be appear soon. (They have aluminum housing and customly designed PCB. So one can put in to key switches as he/she want.:) Honestly I don't know such kind of keyboard is popular. But here, in this very community, the tenkeyless is popular.

Korean and Japanes like a small keyboard. So quite many high-end keyboards are lanched in Korea and Japan.
Yes, it's a distance between far eas Asia and europe or US.
 IBM was try to introdced tenkeyless type about over 10 years, ago. But they were failed to make it as standard.

Actually Tenkeyless keyboard is not much popular in Korea. But it is very popular between these members.
Also I have FILCO nonclick tenkeyless keyboard since it was released. Moreover I am using a TenkeyPad.
Somtimes it is very useful when I use the Internet Baking. However usually tenkey pas is useless.
Therefore many keyboard mania like a Tenkeyless, i think. And it is quite cute and easy to move.

Most of computer users in Korea don't care about what tenkeyless keyboards are and the difference between membrane kbds and mechanical kbds. Whenever I show my Filco tenkeyless or HHKB, they always say same thing, "It looks okay, but too much expensive!"

As guys wrote above, I think we love tenkeyless or space-saver much more than the full-sized in kbdmania but it doesn't mean that there's no full-size kbd users.

Yeah, it is very interesting to communicate and share stuffs between two sites!

There're little useful keyboards existed in Korea. But IOMania and other company(HHK reseller) tried to introduce a few kinds of keyboards that were mechanical or flat type. Now there're lots of tenkeyless keyboards. But those price are higher than tenkey-included type, so many people try tenkey-included 1st. The comparably high price of numpad is also a barrier for who want to buy tenkeyless keyboard.

It is small, but it has all keys because of AQUA's controller.
The controller is developoed by AQUA who is a member of OTD.kr.
It is possible to asign any key using function key like HappyHacking keyboard.
